We will all arrange the childrens' gifts beneath the tree and one of us will dress up as Santa," said Aparna Nelthroppe. My husband Wayne is in charge of the music and all of us are sure to have a great day. Homemaker Queenie Masih ushered in Christmas eve at St Patrick's Cathedral. "My daughter Learrah was part of the children's choir and they sang Christmas carols before mass. The adults' choir took over during mass, rendering a plethora of carols and hymns. This was followed by the traditional cake and wine celebration before we went to bed,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," she said. "Today, we are going to a close family friend's for lunch. Every year, we join her family for Christmas,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], while they join us on Christmas eve."

Homemaker Nupur Rathore said, "There's no way I'm going to miss out on my share of Christmas cake. My friend is a Mangalorean Christian and so I'm looking forward to chicken stew served with appams. Apart from the bonhomie and good cheer, it's the stuff memories are made of."
Meanwhile, shoppers thronged city malls till late Friday evening looking for the perfect gift to give to friends. "I've zeroed in on this really sweet goody hamper with chocolate, little satin buntings and soft toys to give to my friends and their children," said a senior citizen who bought 30 pieces of the same hamper.
Another shopper had a bag full of Santa Lolliopops and caps to give to the little ones at her party. "Every child must have a little take away as a memory," she said.
And for those who are away from family, lonliness is far from their thoughts. Says 32-year-old Bennet Anchan, who would be joining his friend for a Christmas dinner, "I will miss my family for sure, but spending it with friends, comes really close.
