The company also issued a news release saying that an economic analysis found that a ban would spur a “significant increase in organized crime activity” and potentially give young people more access to cigarettes. The FDA began to regulate cigarettes in 2009. The agency subsequently banned all flavored cigarettes except menthols,marlboro cigarettes, but instructed its tobacco products scientific advisory committee to write a report with recommendations about the future of menthol cigarettes,Newport cheap, which will be released in March.
