After Nick sliced the meat into perfect strips, he soaked it in the marinade while I sautéed the onions and peanuts on the stove top. We then added the flavorful pork and a blend of veggies, including broccoli, green beans, and water chestnuts.
Following the spinach salad with sweet and tangy peanut butter dressing, we enjoyed an Asian stir-fry.
2 tsp chopped fresh ginger root 3 cloves garlic, tory burch sale, thinly sliced 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/2 cup chicken broth 4 Tbsp peanut butter 1 1/2 lbs boneless pork loin, cut into strips 2 Tbsp peanut oil 1 onion, chopped 3/4 cup cashews 2 cups frozen mixed stir-fry vegetables white rice, cooked according to directions
First I assembled the pork marinade – a combination of soy sauce, peanut butter, garlic, and ginger. (And Nick discovered that the common Asian ingredient, ginger, has quite a bite in its raw form.)
Let’s continue with Battle Peanuts, tory burch women shoes, shall we?
Directions
In a large bowl, combine ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, coach bag, soy sauce, broth, timberland for sale, wholesale handbags, and peanut butter. Add pork to coat. Set aside. Heat oil in a wok or a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook about 1 minute. Add cashews. Cook until onions are soft and translucent. Add pork and marinade. Cook until pork is done, about 10 minutes. Add vegetables. Cook an additional 5 minutes. Pour pork stir-fry over white rice and serve.
We strongly recommend using peanut oil over any other oil. It makes this nutty dish even better.
My sous chef’s next task was to cook the rice. Despite adding two tablespoons rather than two teaspoons of butter to the side dish (perhaps he watches too much Paula Dean?), the rice provided a pleasant (and decadent) bed for the pork stir-fry.
Ingredients
The meal was served on red and yellow platters to provide a colorful presentation. And after just one bite, Nick declared “victory!” The flavor of peanuts infused throughout the dish was subtle and satisfying.
