Club 35 Plus, a health kitty, is no joke. It has 250 women members who meet once in two months and talk about fitting into a decade-old pair of jeans and Pap smear tests, all in a single conversation. The bottom line being ' it's all about healthy living even on

the other side of 35. Started a year ago, the club has transformed from serious talks and boring symposiums to a social get together that includes activities like health-based quizzes. The members are also given incentives like discount coupons for certain tests in select hospitals or free beauty treatments for being 'Ms Punctuality'.
Between sipping tea and eating snacks, the women make life-changing decisions. While someone promises to reduce weight, another pledges to include morning walks in her daily routine. So, we have been interacting with the members on these issues,'' Dr Bhalla said. Though the club is

bridging a gap in society by raising and addressing common problems among women, its initiator is not sure how long it can be sustained. ''Unlike other kitties, we do not ask for any money. Only once, a membership fee of Rs 250 is paid. Most of my doctor friends come to handle the talks and the only company that has been supporting us arranges for the venue.
